How to Make a Signature

We have recently re-enabled 'signature images' on the site.

The following rules apply.

1. The signature image should be no more than 200 x 200 pixels

2. The filesize should be no more than 50KB

3. No rude words, pornographic images, advertising, links to
other sites etc. The usual site rules apply to signatures as well.

Any signatures that break these rules will be deleted (note: mods and residents may use slightly larger images).

To make a signature:

Create an image (no more than 200 x 200 pixels) to use as your signature.

Rather than try to match the background colour of the site leave the background layer of the file turned off. Save the image as a PNG file (making sure it is no more than 50KB in filesize). The PNG format will preserve the transparency in the image.

Go to the User Control Panel (USERCP in the menu buttons) and select Edit Signature. Browse and select the PNG file, then upload it. Then 'insert signature picture' and you'll see [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] appear in the text box.

Add and format any additional text you want in the sig in the text box, then Save Signature.

All done.

Your posts should now show up with the signature field underneath.
