Imandix 3D PreviewThis Software is Freeware.
There is no setup. Simply extract the zip archive "IMANDIX_Cover.zip" into a folder of your choice and run Cover.exe. personally i have the folder hidden away in my documents and a shortcut to the .exe on the desktop please read the terms of use before using how to use: LOAD the cover select your template - i use the standard one RENDER at the top you can select the background and case colour, the background needs to be set to 40/40/40 for this site (you need to render the image again to make the background change) i have mine set at free pixels 800x532 turn off shadows and light or have them low SAVE RESULTS job done imandix is clever and will adjust the spine width according to your cover size. Download the high-resolution files here:

Has anyone tried the pro version. I have tried it but it keeps crashing on me.

When saving or 'exporting' the file from IMANDIX, it's a good idea to reduce quality to about 85%. Whilst having no noticeable difference to the output image the filesize is reduced by about two thirds.

Can someone help me with this .... Everytime I save the image it takes on a blue cast throughout the image, it does look attractive and usable but it's not a true interpretation of the design I want to display. I am using Windows Vista service pack 1

For some reason IMANDIX does that 'blue cast' thing under Vista... but that's only how it looks in Explorer. If you attach the same 'blue cast' preview to a post here it will be displayed correctly. Alternatively open up the jpg file in PSP or Photoshop and resave it, that fixes the display problem.

IE8 has a similar colour rendering issue with certain JPG formats as Vista has. There appears to be no simple fix.
Try opening up this page in IE8 as well as Firefox or some previous version of IE to see the difference. Test of IE8 jpg colour rendering |
