Heres a quick guide on creating a cover template for a standard case. if you want to create other templates just remember that the front and back are always 1535 pixels wide, just the width of the spine changes.

Thanks for taking the time to teach those of us that are beginners how to create a cover template! Your instructions were very easy to follow. I am using Paint Shop Pro Photo X2, and I was able to follow along with NO problems. The only question I have is on the color depth. You have - 16 million colors (24 bit) selected. I didn't have that option? Would the RGB-16 bits/channel or an Index-256 Color palette be close? Thanks again.

i'm pretty sure its the rgb 16 bits/channel.

and just to add, if you need extra guidlines you can add
767 (center of back)
1620 (dead center)
2473 (center of front)

EDIT I have since realised that you can drag a guideline out and right click on the guideline where it meets the ruler to bring up a properties box, then simply tpe in where you want the guideline

whats the size for a single thinpak?

MrHenryDog 13-01-2008 00:47

all cover sizes and spine widths are here:

http://www.customaniacs.org/forum/sh...ad.php?t=21571

fronts and backs are normally always 1535, with the spine changing each time, so normally your first guidline will always start at 1535
a little maths and you can find the centers
